History

The earliest proof of Elderberry being a remedy was stated by a well-known German nun called Hildegard von Bingen. In her book “Physica”, written in the 12th century, she depicts the effect of Elderberry very well.

Dr. Martin Blochwich dedicated a whole book to the Elderberry plant in 1655: „Anatomy of the Elder“. Very different usages of berries, flowers, bark and leaves are well described by recipes and beautiful pictures. The book was written in Latin, translated into English and printed in the first decades of book printing. According to this, Elderberry must have been very important and popular in that time.

Dedicated to a long tradition and modern, innovative research, we combined the compounds of the Elderflower with the ones from the Elderberries in a very unique Pro-Flavon-Elderberry Complex called RUBINI.
