Haschberg: a special variety

Not every Elderberry is the same. There are 15 different species and more than 400 varieties. The Black Elderberry is probably the most popular one with „Haschberg“ being its best variety. We cultivated this plant in Styria /Austria together with more than 800 farmers for more than 20 years. It is one of best varieties regarding it´s compounds: a very high Vitamin C content, minerals, trace elements and their combination with the high Magnesium content of the soil in Styria turn the „Haschberg“ compounds into a unique and powerful Flavon-Complex.

Flavonoids are plant pigments. They are responsible for the almost black color of the Elderberries, as well as, the protection of the fruit. In addition, flavonoids can strengthen our immune system and help to prevent illnesses.
